Will there be another wedding the same day?
No, we only host one event per day so you have the entire property to yourselves.

Rehearsals are scheduled based on availability and are typically confirmed closer to your wedding date.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
Yes! There are several nearby accommodations in New Bern, and we also offer our nearby River House for overnight stays.
How many hours are included in the rental?
Your rental includes 12 hours of access from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Additional time may be available upon request.
Is parking available on-site?
Yes, we offer ample on-site parking for your guests.
What is the backup plan for rain or bad weather?
We offer both covered and indoor options, including our covered porch and wedding barn, to ensure your event runs smoothly regardless of weather.
When can vendors arrive for setup?
Vendor arrival times are coordinated based on your rental package and timeline.
Is outside catering allowed?
No, all catering is provided exclusively through our in-house team at Strange and Sons Catering.
Can I schedule a tasting?
Yes! Tastings are scheduled through our catering team during the planning process.
Do you provide alcohol or can we bring our own?
All bar services are provided in-house through our catering team.
Do I need a wedding planner or coordinator?
Yes, we require a professional day-of coordinator to ensure your wedding day runs smoothly and all details are executed as planned.
When do I select décor items?
Décor and event details are finalized during your planning meetings leading up to your wedding day.
Do I have to use preferred vendors?
No, but we’re happy to provide recommendations for trusted local vendors.
Do I need event insurance?
Insurance is not required but is recommended.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes! Dogs are welcome for ceremonies as long as they are leashed and supervised.
What is required to book our date?
A $2,000 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date, along with a signed contract. Remaining payments are scheduled leading up to your wedding day.
What is the cancellation policy?
The retainer is non-refundable. Rescheduling may be available based on availability.
